MEET THE MAESTRO
Jordan Friedman is a professionally trained conductor, composer, trombonist, and orchestrator. Following his graduation from California State University Northridge, Jordan conducted the Westlake Village Symphony in the premier of his orchestral piece The Quirky Villain Theme. He also wrote a piece for brass quintet titled An Overture for Hope for the Musician’s Union of Orange County. After its premiere in May 2024, An Overture for Hope was recorded by LA studio musicians and purchased by professional trumpeter Bryce Schmidt and the Simi Valley Brass Quintet. In addition, Jordan played trombone with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony for their Thirtieth Anniversary concert and their performance of composer Inon Zur’s music. Maestro Friedman studied composition and conducting with Elizabeth Sellers, Max Mueller, and Michael Stanley. He also studied trombone with Andrew Malloy and Paul Radke.
